In 2014-15 our Society had a number of activities, including a fascinating private visit to the art show of Anne Mathen, artist based near Antwerp famous for her journalism in painting ( news translated into 52 works of art per year) and the annual dinner in the University of Antwerp faculty club, where we had the pleasure of listening to Arthur White, CEO of VLM airlines. The committee has decided that there will be 2 activities per year in future ; the annual dinner with a speaker of note and an interaction with the world of business . We were also happy to welcome Fiona Garrahan (Trinity 2013) beneficiary of the Cambridge University Student Travel Award, who enjoyed a visit to Antwerp and Gent with members of the Society.
