More location information You are invited to a choral concert given by The Choir of St Andrew's Church Zurich at 4 pm on Saturday, 24th June in honour of the King’s coronation. We will sing music associated with royal pageantry, some of which was also heard at the Abbey during the Coronation, such as Handel’s ‘Zadok the Priest’ and Parry’s ‘I was glad’.Alongside choral favourites of the Anglican tradition, the choir will also sing music by Scottish, Welsh, and Irish composers. Highlights include James MacMillan’s ‘A new song’, a modern setting of Psalm 96, and a piece from Karl Jenkins’s ‘Gloria’. A special set of three pieces related to birds will celebrate the King’s renowned love of nature.Entrance is free with a retiring collection in aid of church funds.The church is in Promenadengasse, near Stadelhofen Station and Kunsthaus tram / bus stop.The concert will be followed by a garden reception of wine and snacks.
