Visit the National Rail Museum (NRM) in York
The Cambridge Society of North and West Yorkshire warmly invite you to join us at the Museum. We've arranged a presentation at 2pm on the activities of the NRM and their focus on introducing youngsters to the attraction of S.T.E.M. subjects. Families are very welcome to join us as there are activities for younger children to get invovled in.
There will be an opportunity to take part in a guided tour and following that, we will be taken to Wonderlab and, hopefully, see demonstrations of the way principles of science are communicated. We will also have private access to some of the Museum’s archives.
Please arrive at the Conference Centre entrance of the Museum by 13.45. The Conference Centre entrance is to the right of the main entrance, where a member of staff will check you in. There are many complex road works in the area and it is expected that Leeman Road will be closed from the City to the Museum. Access should be available from the Water End approach to Leeman Road.
- The museum’s visitor car park is located on Leeman Road, a short walk away from the main entrance on the opposite side of the road.
- Car parking costs £10 per day and can be purchased from inside the museum. The car park closes at 18:30.
- Accessible parking for blue badge holders is free and is located in the main car park. The distance from the blue badge spaces to the museum entrance is approximately 200m.
- Please be aware the museum’s car park offers limited parking.
- Please consider using other long stay car parks or Park and Ride Service.
- The Museum does not currently offer charging points for electric vehicles.
