With incoming regulation of the Australian crypto asset industry, and the continued growth of crypto and AI, our first lunch of 2024 will provide an overview of the market, its current state and insights into what is happening, and how it will continue to evolve, from one of Australia's leaders in the space.

Mr Simon Callaghan will join us on 13 March for our lunch speaker series discussing the landscape of this ever-changing digital currency space. 

Speaker bio:
Simon is CEO of Blockchain Australia, the peak industry body for blockchain technology in Australia, and Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of MOOPS Tech, a specialised Middle Office functions build consultancy, SAAS and outsourcing solution for both TradFi and Crypto firms. 

He joined Blockchain Australia from the University of Cambridge, where he led the Digital Assets Programme, within the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, a Judge Business School research centre. Simon worked with the Australian Trade & Investment Commission at the New York Consulate, leading FinTech and Blockchain.

In 2023, Simon graduated a Master of Studies in Entrepreneurship at Judge Business School. He is a Life Member and Patron of the CUCC, playing for the Crusaders and College's XI, and opening the bowling for Scottish Universities against Irish Universities. He played in the Australian Rules Varsity Match, Cuppers cricket for King’s, and a highlight being the rugby Cuppers Final under lights on Grange Road for CCK. He is a Hawks' member, and served on the Speakers' Committee at the Union. Simon was also employed within the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance for a year, as the Cambridge Digital Assets Programme Lead, before returning to Australia to take on the role at Blockchain Australia.
