Dr. Lucy Pollock's subject is ‘Growing Old (For People Who Don’t Want To Talk About It)’, after her very successful book of the same title. Having heard Lucy speak before I can assure you that she is not only expertly informative but very entertaining. She read medicine at Trinity, Cambridge, and trained in general and geriatric medicine in London. She has been a Consultant Geriatrician at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton since 2001.

Of Lucy’s book Sandi Toksvig has written: ‘The most important book about the second half of your life you’ll ever read. I wish everyone in the UK could be under Dr Lucy’s care, but this is the next best thing.’ There will be copies available after the talk should you wish to purchase one.

Please see the attched PDF booking form (found at the end of this event listing) for full details inc the schedule, location and menu options for lunch at the Quantock Restaurant.
