It will also be the book for discussion in August's book club event featuring Polly Phillips herself!The menu will include the following scrumptious food (please let us know if you have any dietary requirements):• Canapes: potato tortilla, lamb samosas, mushroom arancini• Main: chicken breast, puy lentils, carrot mash, chargrilled pumpkin, brussel petals, jus (gf, df, nf)• Dessert: apple tart tartin, roasted pineapple, brandy creme anglaise (veg)• Range of wine included This year’s dinner will feature a fascinating talk from Bourby Webster.Bourby Webster is a ground-breaking arts entrepreneur best known for her role as Founder of Perth Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra that breaks the rules. She has coxed rowing crews at an elite level, competing internationally (having fallen in love with the sport at Oxford); has had a record deal signed to Universal Records with the electric string quartet ‘Bond’; has earned an MBA from the UWA Business School; and is a self-confessed passionate cook. Bourby believes the world needs a music revolution, and has committed her life to changing the narrative around the role of the arts (from an elitist bit-on-the-side to utterly critical in everyone’s lives) in Australia and beyond. Bourby Webster is a Somervillian (1993 – 1996), graduating from Oxford with an MA in Music.
