Oxford and Cambridge alumni will once again be competing for honour and glory in a series of rowing races at Guildford Grammar School on Sunday 19th November.

Please do come along to cheer on the crews and enjoy a picnic under the trees next to the Swan River. Bring a plate and enjoy the combined buffet with Oxford and Cambridge alumni and rowers.

The programme for the da will be:

09:00 – Coin Toss to decide lanes
09:30 – Race 1: women’s Atalanta’s vs. Ospreys Trophy – IVs 
10:15 – Race 2: Isis vs Goldie 
11:00 – Race 3: Swan Blues Cup – VIIIs
11:45 – Presentation followed by a picnic

If we manage to reduce the turnaround times between races, the start times may be a little ahead of the schedule noted above.

As we did last year, bring a plate / picnic to share and your outdoor chair to sit on. We'll lay out the delicacies and we’ll all enjoy the feast. If you have a small camping table, that may also come in handy to support the buffet. 

Lastly, blazers!!! Wear your 1829 blazer if you have one and any other blazer or boater if you don't (i.e. suitable regatta attire). It is THE Boat Race after all. Read on if you haven't got one yet and want to join the blazerati! We hope you will be able to join us to cheer on the crews (well, the Cambridge crews really!) 

Reconnecting to the Cambridge University Australian Rules Football Club

The Cambridge University Australian Rules Football Club (CUARFC) have recently been in touch and wanted us to reach out to our alumni group here. Below is the message they have asked us to pass on to you:

We are reaching out to alumni groups as part of our efforts to reconnect with and strengthen our alumni network. Cambridge University Australian Rules Football Club (CUARFC) has a history dating back to the early 1900’s and the club has always fostered friendships and camaraderie among its members.

Unfortunately, over the years we’ve lost touch with some valued former players and contributors who have been an integral part of the club’s legacy. We are therefore reaching out to your alumni group with the hope that some past members of the University of Cambridge who played Australian rules football during their time at Cambridge may have connections within your network. We would be immensely grateful for your assistance in contacting these individuals to re-establish old connections in the spirit of the club.
