Gary Gerstle is Paul Mellon Professor of American History Emeritus at the University of Cambridge. He is the author, editor, and coeditor of more than ten books including The Rise and Fall of the Neoliberal Order: America and the World in the Free Market Era (2022). The book has been translated into multiple languages, made ‘Best Books’ lists in the US, UK, the Netherlands, and India, and was shortlisted for the 2022 Financial Times Best Business Book of the Year. Professor Nicholas (Nick) Guyatt studied at Cambridge, earning a BA and MPhil before completing a PhD in History at Princeton University under the supervision of historian Daniel T. Rodgers. He subsequently taught at Princeton University, Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, and the University of York before joining Cambridge's Faculty of History in 2014.

Guyatt is the author of six books including The Hated Cage, Providence and the Invention of the United States, 1607–1876, and Bind Us Apart: How Enlightened Americans Invented Racial Segregation.

Professor Ella McPherson is Professor of the Sociology of Media and Technology at the University of Cambridge, Anthony L. Lyster Fellow in Sociology at Queens' College, and Co-Director of the Centre of Governance and Human Rights (CGHR). She also serves as Deputy Head of Cambridge's School of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research explores the relationship between media, technology, democracy, and human rights, with a particular focus on how truth claims are created, evaluated, and contested in the digital age.
