Luxembourg: The Diplomat: Fiction vs. Reality
Luxembourg: The Diplomat: Fiction vs. Reality
Dear LSE Alumni, dear friends,
We are delighted to invite you to a unique evening for our Spring Dinner that will delve into the reality of international relations.
The Diplomat: Fiction vs. Reality
From Netflix Narratives to the High-Stakes Reality of the Diplomatic Profession
Have you ever wondered how much of The Diplomat or Madam Secretary holds up in the corridors of power? Join us as we welcome Her Excellency Joanne Olivier, British Ambassador to Luxembourg, as our keynote speaker for an insightful discussion on how diplomacy is portrayed on screen versus the lived realities of diplomatic life.
We will explore the reality of international negotiations, policy-making, and the day-to-day work that rarely makes it to the screen. This conversation will be woven through our Spring Dinner, providing a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow LSE Alumni and other friends while engaging with timely questions about global affairs.
Dress code: Business.
