Luxembourg: Picnic in the Parc
Luxembourg: Picnic in the Parc
Picnic in the Parc Kinnekswiss , followed by the splendid end-of-season Summerconcert given by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg. Gustavo Gimeno’s farewell concert as chief conductor!
We are organising a group of members of the Cambridge Society for a Family Picnic on the grass of the Kinnekswiss.
Bring your picnic!!
This is not Glyndebourne but bring your hampers and coolboxes with lots of lovely food and what you want to drink, not forgetting crockery and cutlery. Something to sit on, preferably a nice big blanket, any folding chairs should not block the view of people behind. And remember it can be chilly as the evening progresses. We hope for good weather, but watch the forecast and come prepared!!
N.B All rubbish must be disposed of by you!!! No litter to be left!

It’s a free concert, we want to be inclusive, you still have time to pay your subscription to gain a spot!
Booking information
So that we can organise our group, if you have paid your annual subscription and would like to join us, please send an email to our new Secretary Norry Welch at nbcwelch@cantab.net, with a copy to John Speed, President, at speed@pt.lu saying how many adults and children you will be. Registrations will be in order of receipt of your email. Sign up early to avoid disappontment!
Location
We will stake out a pitch on the right hand side as you look at the stage, just as the ground starts to rise, for best viewing. We’ll have something to help you find us.
