By kind invitation of the Ambassador, we are very pleased to invite all  Members for our London Section Dinner at the Hungarian Embassy in London on 17 November.

Our Guest of Honour will be Ananyo Bhattacharya, whose remarkable biography on John von Neumann was chosen as the Book of the Year by the Financial Times and the Times Literary Supplement. Taking us on an astonishing journey, the writer explores how a combination of genius and unique historical circumstance allowed a single man to sweep through a stunningly diverse array of fields, sparking revolutions wherever he went.

Please do save the date for what promises to be an excellent evening: some Members will remember that he had a similar dinner in 2019, which was a great success – our Guest of Honour then was Dr Elizabeth Kiss, Warden of Rhodes House. We are excited to be able to continue this tradition after a long COVID break.
