An interesting day at Slaidburn Village. Wednesday 10th May 2023.

The day would involve a walk around the village followed by a visit to the Slaidburn Archive.

Slaidburn Archive There is much to learn about the local area. The nearby Stocks reservoir was built in 1932 to provide water for the Fylde area. Of particular interest is the area of Dalehead and the hamlet of Stocks-in-Bowland, much of which is now beneath Stocks Reservoir.

We are aiming at a price of around £10 per person to include lunch.
