We will enjoy a 2.5 hour walking tour around old Peel visiting locations associated with the transatlantic slave trade. We shall explore how the Isle of Man played a significant role in supplying cargoes, ships, captains and mariners in the largest forced migration in human history. Approx 2 miles.

Our meeting point is Weatherglass Corner (aka Spit Corner) where the river meets the sea in Peel at 2.15pm.

There are some benches there underneath the flags.  The first part of the talk is given there, so Phil will start speaking at 2.15pm and we won't move off until around 2.30pm, so anyone arriving by then could easily join us.

Phil's plan is to finish up at the Cathedral for the final part of the tour over a cuppa, the Cathedral will need to prepare for evensong around 5pm.
