Gates Cambridge 20th Anniversary

October 2020 marked the start of the 20th anniversary of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship Programme. Established through a landmark donation from Bill and Melinda Gates in October 2000 – still the largest ever to a British university – the Programme has had an enormous impact with more than 1,800 brilliant current Scholars and alumni working across all fields around the globe.

As part of a year-long programme of celebrations, the Vice-Chancellor invites you to join a series of unique events. Featuring Gates Scholars past and present, these events will reflect on the past 20 years and showcase how the Programme continues to make significant positive changes around the world, building a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.

Further details about past and forthcoming events can be found below. We look forward to welcoming you to lively discussions, focusing on the power of knowledge and dedication to change the world.
