Join Cambridge Society (Cumbria) for lunch and a talk by Professor Valerie Gibson.

Professor Gibson, who is a professor of Physics and Head of the High Energy Physics group at the University of Cambridge, will talk to us on “The Quest to Understand Antimatter and Dark Matter”. Prof Gibson has worked on experiments at the Large Hadron Collider near Geneva for many years and been involved with some cutting-edge discoveries. She is a keen science communicator, interested in taking science to a wider range of audiences who regularly discusses particle physics discoveries in the media.

Lunch is likely to be a fixed menu sit down meal with the cost to be between £25 and £30.
