Speakers Sam Wallace Robinson 1994 Sam Wallace has been chief football writer of the Daily Telegraph since 2015, and covers all aspects of the game: its politics, its finance, transfers and sackings as well the action on the pitch itself. Previously he was the chief football writer of The Independent for 11 years. His awards include football journalist of the year, scoop of the year and the Press Awards' sports journalist of the year. He has covered seven World Cups and six European Championships. He studied English literature at Robinson College (1994-97).
