Join us for our first event of 2025!  

Dr Graham Hughes is a distinguished scientist, who has had a long and successful career as a specialist researcher and new medicine developer in the pharmaceutical industry.

From Ashby Boys’ Grammar School in Leicestershire, Dr Hughes went to Selwyn College, Cambridge where he obtained his MA and, subsequently his PhD in inorganic chemistry.  He followed this by being awarded Research Fellowships at both University of California, Los Angeles, and Boston University, Massachusetts before joining the UK’s then pre-eminent chemicals company, ICI, as a Research Scientist in its Mond Division. Dr Hughes was then appointed European Development Manager for ICI’s subsidiary, Atlas Chemicals, in Brussels.
