Last year saw the publication of findings from a pathbreaking research study exploring the experiences of LGBTQ+ students and staff at Cambridge, as well as the launch of a new LGBTQ+ Alumni network. Come meet the leaders of these transformative initiatives to discuss how they are working to build more inclusive communities, overcome obstacles to change, and identify successful strategies to build on Cambridge’s rich legacy of LGBTQ+ activism.

Steven Friel (he/him) is co-founder of the LGBT+ Alumni Group and CEO of Woodsford Litigation Funding. 

Dr Miriam Lynn

Dr Miriam Lynn (she/her) is an Equality & Diversity Consultant at the University of Cambridge, and co-chairs the Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation committee. 

Hakan Sandal-Wilson (St Catharine's 2016)

Hakan Sandal-Wilson (he/him) is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Gender Studies, researching The Kurdish Queer Movement, and convenes the seminar series ‘Methods in Question: Epistemologies of Gender and Sexuality’.
