Join Professor Caroline Vout as she shows how classical art has changed over time, using the resources of Cambridge’s Museum of Classical Archaeology.

Professor Caroline Vout

Caroline Vout is Professor of Classics at the University of Cambridge, Byvanck Chair of Classical Archaeology at the University of Leiden, and a Fellow of Christ's College. She has published widely on Greek and Roman art and its reception, Roman history and Latin literature, and has curated major art exhibitions.

Professor Vout's books include Power and Eroticism in Imperial Rome (2007), The Hills of Rome: Signature of an Eternal City (2012), Sex on Show: Seeing the Erotic in Greece and Rome (2013) and Classical Art: a Life History from Antiquity to the Present (2018). She is currently writing a monograph on Greek and Roman bodies for the Wellcome/Profile.
