Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Dorset for a talk by Dr Lucy Pollock.

She read medicine at Trinity, Cambridge, and trained in general and geriatric medicine in London. She has been a Consultant Geriatrician at Musgrove Park Hospital, a centre of excellence, in Taunton since 2001.

Her subject is ‘Growing Old (For People Who Don’t Want To Talk About It)’, after her very successful book of the same title.
Of Lucy’s book, Sandi Toksvig has written: ‘The most important book about the second half of your life you’ll ever read. I wish everyone in the UK could be under Dr. Lucy’s care, but this is the next best thing.’ There will be copies available after the talk should you wish to purchase one.
This talk is of equal interest to those who may (or may not) consider themselves to be ‘Growing Old’, now or in the near future, and to those younger members and guests with older relatives and friends.
