Alumni group travel is always a pleasure, and this trip [Walks in the Mountains of Georgia] was particularly enjoyable.

Distant Horizons run excellent tours and our academic guide Alex Koller and Georgian guide Georgi were particularly good at leading, informing and motivating the group and ensuring that everything worked perfectly. Since I normally travel alone, the alumni group format is an ideal way to visit places I would not visit solo, in the company of like-minded, intelligent, educated, and interesting people. The conversations with my colleagues during our walks and over wine in the evenings were remarkably wide-ranging and often fascinating.
