About the AAB

The University of Cambridge believes that alumni are integral members of its community, and it is committed to building a relationship that reflect the values, interests and needs of Cambridge alumni.  The Alumni Advisory Board is one of the ways in which the University gains insights from the alumni community, providing an important sounding board for the University to test and refine new initiatives involving alumni engagement.

Members of the Board bring a wide range of perspectives and expertise and act as a group of advisors and advocates, it is not a governance board.

The Board is managed by the Director of Alumni Engagement and supported by the Alumni Engagement team.  The University Alumni Engagement team acts as the conduit for the relationship between the University and alumni, working with colleges and departments to ensure engagement for the entire alumni community.

Board members are expected to be active participants during their term of office, working with each other and the Alumni Engagement team to strengthen alumni engagement with the University and ensure that the values, interests and needs of the Cambridge alumni community are reflected.
