On the beautifully sunny morning of April 22 in San Diego, a group of Cambridge alumni and friends joined 15,000 other enthusiasts at the March for Science. 

After some very stimulating speeches from both older and younger budding scientists, the throng marched one mile from the Civic Center to Waterfront Park for more speeches and exultations to the crowd. 

The march, which occurred on Earth Day, celebrateed science and acknowledged the role that it plays in our lives and the need to respect and encourage research that gives us insight into the world.
