When do bookings open and close?

Bookings open on Thursday 13 August at midday BST.

Booking closures vary - please look at individual event webpages for more information. 
 

How do I book an event?

This year, each event has an individual booking form. To find and book an event, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to the Festival programme

  2. Search for an event using the lefthand-side menu

  3. Click on the event you would like to attend

  4. Click on the 'Book Now' button.  Further booking information is located at the bottom of the event page
     

How do I watch an event?

You will receive a final details email for each event you book. This email will be sent no later than 24 hours before the event.

The email will contain a unique hyperlink to the digital platform where the event is taking place. Click the hyperlink and follow the onscreen instructions to access the event.

We recommend logging in a minute of two before the event start time to make sure you don't miss anything.

Can non-alumni book for the Festival?

Non-alumni guests are welcome to book for the Festival. We ask that each person makes their own booking so that they receive an individual event link.

How do I cancel or make changes to my booking? 

Contact the Festival Team at festival@alumni.cam.ac.uk if you need to change or cancel a booking. Guests need to book separately. Please avoid making several bookings for the same event under the same name.  

How much does it cost to attend the 2020 Alumni Festival?

Most events are free to attend this year. Please check each event page for more details.

When will I receive the link to watch the event?

Final details (including links to watch events) will be sent no later than 24 hours prior to the event. 

If you think you have not received final details for an event, please check your spam or junk folders before contacting the Festival Team. If you haven't received the email and it isn't in your spam or junk folder, please email festival@alumni.cam.ac.uk

Can I book events on the day? 

Most bookings will close two days prior to the event date at 9am BST, except for sessions on Saturday and Sunday, which will close on Thursdays.

Where can I get a copy of my itinerary? 

This year we're not providing itineraries, as each event you book will be confirmed separately. If you have queries about your bookings, please contact us at festival@alumni.cam.ac.uk.

Will Festival events be recorded? 

The majority of events will be recorded and available to watch on our YouTube channel in October.

What time zone are events taking place in?

All events are taking place in British Summer Time (BST), which is Greenwich Mean Time plus one (GMT+1). 

Do I need to sign in to book a place?

You do not need to sign into the alumni website to make event bookings. However, if you do have an alumni email address (cantab.net or cantab.ac.uk), and you want to book for multiple events, it will be easier and quicker for you to sign in. This will pre-populate a number of the booking fields and save you time.
