Worcester - Lunch at Feli’s and Envirosort Tour
This event has sold out.
Alumni and guests are invited to join the Hereford and Worcester Group to a visit to Severn Waste's "Envirosort" materials reclamation facility at 2pm, preceded by lunch at 12pm at Feli's Bar and Restaurant.
As the visit is actually free of charge, the lunch on this occasion will be upmarket. Felice Tocchini is an award-winning chef and restaurateur; his establishment was previously Fusion Brasserie and is located at the former Bird in Hand public house in Hawbridge. This is a few minutes’ drive from the Severn waste site. It will open especially for the Group and they will have the place to ourselves. He has provided a very interesting set of menu selections, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, (see booking form for details) priced at £22.50 for two courses and £27.50 for three, excluding drinks, coffee, tea etc.
Over 70,000 tonnes of household waste from Worcestershire and Herefordshire is sorted for recycling each year at Envirosort. The Group shall view the enterprise from a platform which accommodates twelve persons, including a maximum of one wheelchair. A total of 24 people can be included in the visit, as two groups of twelve can alternate between platform and “classroom”. The accompanying leaflet gives further information about visits.
If you wish to join the Group for the event, please notify the organiser, Bill Ellis, stating your menu choices. Please RSVP by Thursday, 28 September.
Parking is available on site at the Envirosort and the visit is anticipated to take around two hours.
