Alumni and guests are invited to join the Halifax: Piece Hall and Minster, for a visit to Halifax: Piece Hall and Minster.

The Piece Hall is an immense, magnificent and unique Grade 1 listed building, constructed as a cloth hall for weavers in 1779. After recent extensive renovation, it reopened in 2017, and is a developing venue for shops, restaurants, exhibitions, markets, concerts and other activities.  Halifax Minster is a fine Grade 1 church, built some 900 years ago by Benedictine monks from Cluny, and it is that Benedictine tradition which shapes its ministry today. There are many features of architectural, historic and cultural interest.

The group will meet at 11am for refreshments at the Piece Hall. After a conducted tour of the Piece Hall, we remain there for lunch from 1pm. After lunch we move to the Minster for a guided tour at 2.30pm. The inclusive cost, except for a car park, will be £20.
