San Diego, CA: "Huzzah" at The Old Globe
San Diego, CA: "Huzzah" at The Old Globe
Gather ye lords and ladies, fairies, knights and dragons at the Kingsbridge Midsummer Renaissance Faire, which comes to glorious life in the world premiere musical comedy Huzzah! Two sisters, one a princess and one who works in insurance, must stop fighting to save their father’s Renaissance Faire from financial ruin (and the occasional mead-based fire). When they gamble the payroll to hire the greatest swordsman on the whole Ren Faire circuit, will things go fair or foul at the Faire? Don thy doublet, cinch thy corset, and grab a turkey leg for a midsummer night’s screamingly funny musical.
We've reserved two blocks of tickets so that you can sit in one of two groups, if you wish. When you open the link, you'll only see tickets in our reserved blocks in Area A. If you wish to purchase more expensive or less (just a very few available) tickets, go to the general public website HERE and enter the discount code OXBRIDGE.
We'll be meeting in the Craig Noel Garden, on the left as you approach the theatre, for a pre-performance discussion with the musical play's composers Nell Benjamin and Laurence O’Keefe at 6.15pm, prior to the performance at 7.00pm on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage indoor theatre.
For the Anglophiles among us you may wish to imagine that your back in Kingsbridge, Devon for the Kingsbridge Fair Week!
