The Cambridge Spies; Kim Philby and so on. Who were they? What were they like? Why Cambridge? Why Trinity and Trinity Hall? What was the political situation in Britain at that time? What damage did they do? Could it re-occur? Does it still go on?

All will be answered by Edward Towne at a not to be missed Cambridge Society of Paris event.

After studying French, German and history at school, where he won the top French prize (ahead of Salman Rushdi), Edward Towne then went on to take degrees and study at numerous educational establishments (including Magdalene College, Cambridge), before spending a lifetime teaching, lecturing and running historical tours. Hardly surprising therefore that he is so highly acclaimed for his outstanding talks, including the Cambridge Spies.
