Newcastle upon Tyne - 90th Annual Dinner
Newcastle upon Tyne - 90th Annual Dinner
Alumni and guests are invited to join the Northumbrian Cambridge Association, in celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Association.
Once again it will be held in the splendid surroundings of the Northern Counties Club in the centre of Newcastle and will be a black-tie affair as usual. We have dined here for the last five years and we look forward to returning. Once again the Club’s excellent young chef will provide a three-course meal, followed by coffee/tea. The meal will be a set menu but vegetarian/special dishes will be available with prior notice. The menu will be circulated ahead of time to those attending.
After the dinner, former President, James Wright, will comment on the history of the Association, senior member, Professor Ian Fells, will offer reminiscences of his time at Cambridge in the 1950s, and, of course, there will be another challenging quiz (on the history of the Association). We hope also to have some special guests join us for this significant event.
