Alumni and guests are invited to join the CJBS Alumni Network - Special Interest Group: Health & Biotechnology, for an evening of round-table sofa debate with cocktails. 

We certainly have an exciting community of folks in our Health & Biotech SIG and we have been exploring throughout the summer how we may get to know each other a little...so in addition to our pub socials and hearing iconic speakers we thought to try something a little different…and after much deliberation, we came up with a round table sofa debate with cocktails!

One of our community will be opening up their home in Shoreditch, and we shall pre-load the bar with various traditional and exotic liquors and mixers and then create a little bar space for people to mix up a favourite cocktail and then share with others. The topic of debate although somewhat incidental should be topical, sufficiently controversial to stir up a few emotions and help us to get to know each other, so, how about: Is Boris Johnson great or a disaster for UK life sciences and biotech?
