Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hamburg, for a talk by guest speaker, Charlie who is a geophysicist at the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven.

Charlie is one of our newest members and has kindly agreed to introduce us to her fascinating area of work. By interpreting seismological field observations from Greenland and Antarctica, she investigates the physical processes controlling glaciers and their sensitivity to climate change. She will explain to us precisely how listening to Greenland's glaciers can help us predict sea level rises in the future.
