Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hamburg, for an exciting talk by Prof. Amita Narlikar.

Professor Narlikar is the President of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and Professor of International Relations at Hamburg University. She also has a range of Oxbridge connections enough to make her a member of our Society many times over: after reading International Relations at Balliol, OXON, she held a research fellowship at St. John’s, OXON before heading over to a permanent position at Cambridge - and simultaneously taking up a position as a senior research associate at the Oxford Centre for International Studies. Recently, she was elected to an honorary fellowship at Darwin CANTAB (the youngest ever person to hold such a position).

We are delighted that Prof. Narlikar has found a slot for us in her tightly-packed schedule and look forward to her speaking to us on a topic whose importance is belied by a lack of coverage even in the quality press: relations between India and the EU.
