Geneva - Museum Visit
Geneva - Museum Visit
Alumni and guests are welcomed to join the Oxford and Cambridge Club of Geneva for a vist to the unique Barbier-Mueller Museum in the Old City.
This boutique Museum collection contains over 7.000 works of art from ‘primitive’ civilisations from around the world including sculptures, fabrics & ornaments. Many are considered to be masterpieces.
The special exhibition on the day of our visit is iron altars from the West African kingdom of Dahomey. The Assistant Director of the Museum has very kindly agreed to guide us through what will be a very different journey of discovery and learning.
Following the tour we have arranged lunch at La Boel in the Old Town. We will circulate details of the fish based menu in due course.
