In 2013 Trevor, who is an artist, curator and producer, established the Windermere Holocaust Project to tell the remarkable and poignant story of these children. The Project maintains a permanent exhibition at the Windermere Library and was involved in the production of “The Windermere Children”, a major BBC television film drama broadcast in 2020 to coincide with the seventy fifth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, and also the arrival in the Lake District of the three hundred children. At the same time “The Windermere Children - In Their Own Words” a documentary for BBC 4 was commissioned with reflections by a number of the “Children”, and a personal appearance by Trevor.

In 2016 Trevor he was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to heritage in the Lake District. He is hugely knowledgeable about this fascinating aspect of our local history and we are sure of an interesting and informative evening. The talk will be followed by a buffet dinner.
