Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of West Cheshire and North Wales at the award-winning gardens at Ness. The gardens are situated on the Wirral Peninsula, overlooking the Dee Estuary, and were founded in 1898 by Arthur Kilpin Bulley, a Liverpool cotton merchant with a passion for gardens and for plant collecting.
The 64-acre gardens were donated to The University of Liverpool in 1948 by Lois Bulley, the daughter of the founder. The tour of the gardens will be led by Ness Gardens’ botanist.
The plan is to meet for lunch at The Wheatsheaf at 12pm, menus can be found below.
Booking information
Adults: lunch £6 (extra 5p is towards administration), Ness gardens £7 (free for Friends of Ness and RHS members). Children: lunch £6, Ness gardens £3.50

Accessibility:
There is good access and free parking at the Wheatsheaf and Ness Gardens.
Much of Ness Gardens is accessible by wheelchair, however, due to the topography of the site, some areas are inaccessible to wheelchairs.
