York - Freshers' Event
The Cambridge Society of North and West Yorkshire and the Cambridge Society of York warmly invite new students starting a course at Cambridge this autumn for informal drinks in York before the start of term.
This is a great opportunity to prepare for university and make some friends before you arrive. You can expect to meet group members, recent graduates, current students and a College Schools Liaison Officer from the area, from whom you can get tips and advice for living and studying at Cambridge.
Refreshments: soft drinks and snacks will be provided, free of charge
Guests: you are welcome to bring a guest (such as a parent, guardian or friend)
Dress code: there is no dress code; please wear whatever you feel comfortable in
Alternative event in Leeds: please note that the Cambridge Society of North and West Yorkshire will also be hosting a Freshers' Event in Leeds at 6pm on Monday, 17 September

Location
Meeting point: sign at Jacob's Well entrance. The entrance is a solid wooden door. Just push and enter and the event will be upstairs
Directions: Jacob's Well is conveniently situated for York City centre and the Railway Station (5 mins walk). The Park and Ride bus stops (Askham Bar) are five minutes walk away. The nearest car parks are at Tanner Row and Nunnery Lane. There is on street parking (with parking meters!) on Micklegate and Priory Street
