Cambridge Engineering has been helping improve our world for over 150 years. Today's researchers and students strive to continue this well into our future. A series of visits, presentations and discussions will review our past, the present, and look at the opportunities and challenges faced by the emerging generation of engineers.

The event is organised by the Cambridge University Engineers’ Association (CUEA) working with the Engineering Department. It will consist of three sessions, and is open to current CUED students and staff as well as Alumni and guests. Bookings will be required for each session and may be made via the Alumni Festival website.

2.00pm - 3.00pm Tour ‘market stalls’ and join site visits showcasing student projects, research examples, and laboratories / facilities including representation from the Institute of Manufacturing.

3.00pm - 5.30pm - The main lectures will briefly cover the history of the department, its recent developments and forward plans, and the challenges faced by the engineers of today and tomorrow.  (see speaker details below)

5.30pm - 6.30pm Cambridge University Engineers’ Association (CUEA) AGM and drinks reception, with further opportunities to visit ‘market stalls’ from first session
