Alumni and guests are invited to join the CJBS Alumni Network - Special Interest Group: Health & Biotechnology for their next event, Big Data: Benefits and Pitfalls.

The use (and misuse) of big data is at the forefront of media coverage, from the potential applications of AI in improving the delivery of healthcare to the Cambridge Analytica scandal. Join us for presentations and a discussion exploring the balance between privacy and benefits of large datasets and its various applications in health and life sciences.

Hear from speakers including Dr David Stillwell, Lecturer in Big Data Analytics and Quantitative Social Science and Deputy Director of the Psychometrics Centre at Cambridge Judge Business School and Daniel Herranz, Chief Scientific Officer from Chronomics, a startup using epigenetic testing to understand how environmental and lifestyle factors are affecting health.
