Yes! Find out how to register with the UL as an alumnus/a to continue visiting the library in person, borrow books, and so on. Please note that your CAMCard is different from the UL reader's card, which the UL will provide once you have registered.
Alumni may also access certain selections of journals online as well - find out more on our journals and online resources webpage.

There is a free service (The Cloud) for the general public available in some of the open spaces around Cambridge provided by a private company. Accounts with The Cloud are created using a self-registration method.
Other services supported by the University are available in certain circumstances via temporary visitor tickets or, for academic visitors, eduroam. Further information is available on the University Information Services webpage.
We have a range of items on the shop page of the alumni website. Some items can be purchased securely online; otherwise if you wish to place an order please call the relevant retailer directly.
There are also other licensed retailers available in Cambridge and online who can supply officially approved items that are not specifically for alumni.
Please email us to make an initial enquiry, making sure you give us as much relevant information as possible - details that are most useful include:
- Full name, including any initials and previous names (eg maiden name) while at the University
- Subject(s) and Cambridge degree(s)
- Matriculation and/or graduation year (or an approximation thereof)
If we do have their details on our database, we won't be able to release them to you, but we might be able to pass on a message.
For alumni groups
We publicise events run by officially recognised alumni groups on our website. If you would like us to add your event to our website or require further information, please email email@example.com. We also undertake recruitment emails for groups - please get in touch if you would like to find out more about this.
We regret that it is not possible for us to advertise group events in CAM or the monthly alumni e-newsletter due to space constraints.
Cambridge has a network of Alumni Groups around the world. You can find your nearest Group, or find out if there's one for the topic you're interested in, by using our online search.
If there isn't a Group but you would like to start one, please see the 'For alumni groups' section below.
All alumni are able to join the University's official LinkedIn group and may post discussions and other items of interest there. If your organisation is interested in recruiting Cambridge graduates for employment, the Careers Service offers a number of services.

We are always delighted to receive your letters and encourage the debate that arises from these communications. Letters that are not included in the print edition will be posted on our CAM webpages.
If you have published a book we can include it in our online bookshelf. To have your book considered for inclusion, using our webform.
The Development and Alumni Relations office looks after the University's alumni database.
We keep in touch with all University alumni, provide services to them and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors. Colleges also have alumni databases and the University and the Colleges co-ordinate their approaches.
The University updates its database with information provided primarily from alumni themselves, but also from Colleges and from Cambridge in America (the University's affiliate office in the USA).

The University's Development and Alumni Relations office has provided an online service so that you can view and modify the contact details we hold for you and manage your communication preferences. In order to keep your information safe, this is password protected.
You will need:
1) Your alumni number (alumni numbers changed to a new format in April 2018, but we still have your old number on file; find out more about your new number)
If you do not know your alumni number, you can fill in our online update form.
2) The name of your first College - this is the College where you studied for your first Cambridge qualification. If you did not attend a College please fill in our online update form.
3) Your date of birth
About past students
An alumnus/alumna of the University is someone who has both matriculated within the University and studied within the University on an approved course.
The University’s Student Registry verifies full time Cambridge degrees but does not provide verifications to third parties. Requests must be made directly with the student or graduate who can then decide whether to release their personal data.

Recruitment opportunities for students and graduates of the University are handled by the Careers Service, which is available to alumni throughout their lives.

If you are an alumnus/na of the University, you may post your vacancy directly in our official Cambridge alumni LinkedIn group.
The University's archivist has compiled a brief guide to help genealogists and historians with their research because sources, their location and the amount of information contained vary according to a number of factors.
Please email us with the individual's details and we will update our records and notify the relevant College.
Please note that due to space restrictions we are not able to print obituaries in CAM. However Colleges' publications may do so - please enquire with the relevant College's development and alumni relations office directly.
