Britten Sinfonia, the University's ensemble-in-association, is one of Europe's most dynamic chamber orchestras, with residencies in Norwich, Saffron Walden and Cambridge. Britten Sinfonia is also the Associate Ensemble at the Barbican in London and performs a chamber series at Wigmore Hall.

With a growing international profile, a recent highlight being its USA debut in New York and acclaimed tours of South America and The Netherlands, the orchestra is frequently heard on BBC Radio 3 and commercial radio.

2017 - 18 series at West Road Concert Hall 

Concerts at West Road are often followed by discussions with the musicians and members of the Faculty of Music, which are free to ticket holders.

At Lunch Three - Tuesday 17 April 2018, 1pm
Pulitzer prize-winning American composer Caroline Shaws’s new work is premiered in the third At Lunch concert of the season. Completing the programme is Brahms’ expansive Piano Quartet No. 1.
