The Pitt Building

Russell Group Alumni Event
Wednesday 23 February
Join alumni from the Russell Group of universities at a free drinks reception at the Pitt Building in Cambridge. This unique networking event offers the opportunity to meet with other alumni from across the 20 leading UK universities.

A very special opportunity for opera fans (or those who would like to be) to be part of a spectacular weekend of stunning music in the company of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz and David Pountney (St John's 1966), Artistic Director of the Bregenz Opera Festival.

The event includes a backstage tour of the world-famous floating stage, in-depth talks and top price tickets to two operas.

Mischief - sculptures and drawings by Lucia Nogueira at Kettle's Yard

Combining and adapting pieces of discarded furniture and other objects, Lucia Nogueira's sculptures engage with the space in which they are set. Don't miss your chance to see the first exhibition in the UK to survey her ten-year career.

Cambridge University Land Society
Calling all female alumni with any interest in property! Jenny Buck (Girton 1989), President of the Cambridge University Land Society, is hosting an inaugural lunch for all Cambridge women working in and associated with the property industry on Thursday 27 January 2011 at the Bleeding Heart in Holborn, central London.

Cambridge University Lacrosse Club
The University men's lacrosse club has recently set up a charitable trust and alumni organisation called The XVI Club. All lacrosse alumni are encouraged to get back in touch with the club and former team mates via dpsb2@cam.ac.uk.

Were/are you involved in one of these companies? The editors would like to hear from anyone with anecdotes, stories or iconic images relating to Cambridge companies, their founders, employees or products.
