Alumni Volunteer Handbook
The Alumni Volunteer Handbook will provide many of the resources Alumni Groups need. The Handbook will be regularly updated. We welcome your feedback and ideas for future issues.
Alumni Worldwide Directory
The Alumni Worldwide Directory is currently published annually and includes a full list of volunteer-led Alumni Groups around the world. Alumni Groups represent geographic regions, shared interests, Colleges and student clubs and societies. If you would like a printed copy please contact networks@alumni.cam.ac.uk. Alternatively see the online directory for regularly updated information and contact details. If your Group is not already included please do send us your details.
Senior Member Speaker Request Form
Every 3 months CARO sends a list of all Alumni Group events in need of a speaker to a list of Senior Members (currently all Pro VC’s, Heads of Houses, Pilkington Prize winners and previous regional event speakers) If you would like your event to be included in this list please complete the attached form.
Please bear in mind when timing your event that the request is only sent every 3 months. You should also consider whether you are able to add a small amount to the ticket price of the event in order to cover the speakers travel expenses as they are not paid by CARO.
'Travelling Fellows' (International)
Each month, CARO makes contact with a number of Cambridge academics who are travelling abroad, in order to put them in touch with the local Group at their destination. If you are approached by a Travelling Fellow, please do take this opportunity to make direct contact with a Cambridge Speaker in your area. For example, you could meet them for a casual drink/chat, or perhaps arrange something more formal like asking them to speak to your Group about their work. Even if all you do is communicate by email, they will certainly appreciate your local knowledge and may consider visiting you in the future! If you are particularly interested in meeting a travelling fellow, please email networks@alumni.cam.ac.uk.
