2012 Annual Dinner and Lecture of the Kingston Cambridge and Oxford Society
The 2011 Convenor, Tony Capon, presided over the Annual Dinner and Lecture of the Kingston Cambridge and Oxford Society. The Dinner was very well attended with 52 people, including spouses and other invitied guests. The Lecture was given by Daniel Woolf, Principal of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, who spoke interestingly and amusingly of his experiences as a "colonial" going across to do a doctorate at St Peter's College in Oxford.
The Group also held a brief business meeting during the course of the evening and inter al the following motion was carried unanimously:
"That David Hanes be confirmed as Convenor of the Kingston Cambridge and Oxford Society with immediate effect."
