Please join the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Toronto in their “Fire Side Chat” series, for a repeat performance from Mr. Andy Byford – CEO of the TTC.

Plymouth raised (and still a staunch supporter of the Argyle FC), Andy began his career on the Tube as a foreman at Regent’s Park Station on the Bakerloo Line. He rose through the ranks becoming Station Manager at Kings Cross and General Manager: Customer Service of the three busiest tube lines. Before coming to Canada Andy was COO of Rail Corporation in Sydney, Australia.

Andy and his wife left sunny Australia in late 2011 to take up the position of COO at the TTC. In March 2012, before he had been in the position even 6 months Andy was asked to step in as interim CEO for Gary Webster, an appointment that quickly became permanent. Since becoming CEO Andy has shaken things up and brought life back into the TTC, working hard to put customer service at the heart of the organisation. He has big plans for the future, some of which we hope to hear about in what is sure to be an exciting fireside chat.

CA$30 – CA$35 per person
