Madingley Hall

Lifelong Learning

Having already studied at Cambridge, you will be well aware of the value of learning.

However, you might not have been aware of the University’s Institute of Continuing Education (external). The Institute was created over 130 years ago to offer lifelong learning opportunities - by extending the University’s academic resources, research and knowledge - to adults in the wider community.

Today the Institute has headquarters at Madingley Hall, just outside Cambridge, and runs a wide variety of part-time courses and programmes.
Study options include:

  • Residential weekend courses at Madingley Hall
  • Short, day and evening courses at over 30 local centres across East Anglia
  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses to develop or change your career
  • International summer schools in Cambridge
  • Online courses

With around 10,000 students studying with the Institute each year, the Institute is a part of the University that can benefit you throughout your adult life.
