Britten Sinfonia at Lunch
Britten Sinfonia, the University's resident orchestra, is one of Europe's most dynamic chamber orchestras, with residencies in Norwich and Brighton as well as Cambridge. Britten Sinfonia is also Associate Ensemble at the Barbican in London and performs a chamber series at Wigmore Hall. Britten Sinfonia has a growing international profile, a recent highlight being its USA debut in New York and acclaimed tours of South America and The Netherlands. The orchestra is frequently heard on BBC Radio 3 and commercial radio.
Cambridge alumni receive £3 off the ticket price of Britten Sinfonia's at Lunch concerts in Cambridge, currently held four times a year. The 2012-13 series will be held on: Tuesday 4 December 2012, Tuesday 22 January 2013, Tuesday 12 February 2013, Tuesday 9 April 2013 at Cambridge West Road Concert Hall, 11 West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DP. Britten Sinfonia may also offer one-off ticket offers to Cambridge alumni for its Barbican concert series. This will be notified through the monthly e-bulletin.
